Project Supervisor Design Process

Assure HSC undertakes the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), on a project-by-project basis.

Designers have a responsibility to implement health and safety into their designs. We guide design teams on managing risks for all stages of a project.

The duties extend beyond the 2013 Construction Regulations; as other legislation has an impact on your projects, including but not limited to:

• Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005;
• Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007-2012;

Designers can make a difference.

The risk management process must start at the commencement of the design and be recorded, so that the control measures are clearly communicated to other duty holders. Design Risk Assessments play a central role in the management of hazards that exist during construction, use or maintenance; and to track the appropriate control measures.
